Celestial Chocolatiers Photo Contest

At Celestial Chocolatiers we always enjoy any opportunity to invite customer participation.  We are announcing a candy photograph contest for our many followers.  The judging criteria (and rules) are listed below:

1. Entrants must be 18 or older.
2. All entries must be received by 5:00 pm CDT on Thursday, 3/21/13.
3. Photos will be judged on:
1. Creativity
2. Visual Appeal
3. Uniqueness
4. Marketing Potential
4. The prizes for the top 3 places will be as follows:
1. $5,000 cash
2. $1,000 cash

Finally...the Chocolate of the Gods!!

At Celestial Chocolatiers, we have a fondness for Greek mythology.  The Greek Gods represent a unique and diverse perspective on the idea of deities.  Part of their attraction (at least to us) is the idea that many of these beings possess flaws that make them more relatable to the average person.

  As it stands currently, our Chocolate of the Gods collection will feature five unique confections, each dedicated to a Greek God or Goddess that we find particularly fascinating.  Listed below will be the initial five offerings. 

  *(It is worth noting that anything titled so boldly as "Chocolate of the Gods" should have ingredients to match...we will use only the finest Ecuadorian cacao beans, Virginia peanuts, brown sugar from Mauritius, etc.  Our product will truly be worthy!)

• Zeus: King of the Gods; God of the sky, weather, thunder, lightning, and law. His confection will be a white chocolate truffle with a lemon ganache center.
• Ares: God of war, bloodshed, and violence. His confection will be a dark chocolate chunk infused with coffee flavor, and with diced pecans & peanuts mixed throughout.
• Poseidon: God of the sea, rivers, floods, droughts, and earthquakes.  His confection will be a milk chocolate hollow filled with a rich, sea-salted caramel. 
• Artemis: Virgin Goddess of the hunt, wilderness, animals, young girls, childbirth and plague.  Her confection will be a slice of milk chocolate with brown sugar candied bacon bits spread throughout.
• Aphrodite: Goddess of love, beauty, desire, and pleasure.  Her confection will be a milk chocolate truffle filled with a chocolate mousse and diced cherries.
